The Night There Was a Site Update
This is a generic site update, so if you’re not interested in the latest non-bloggy things at Sweet F.A., you’re forgiven if you look away now …
I’ve made a whack-load of changes in recent weeks (don’t you love the Christmas vacation?) but I’ve not really gone into detail explaining any of them or even mentioning them here. So - for your browsing enjoyment - here are the latest changes, bullet-pointed and FAST!
- Q&A section has been changed, fixed and now validates XHTML 1.1 - whoop!
- Weight Loss Progress Section has been added - you know, to a) inspire me to keep going and b) publically humilate me if I do fuck all.
- Update Date: Look at the sidebar. See the ‘Network’ subheading? See ‘Latest’? That’s been there awhile to show you the latest changes here, but beneath it you’re now privy to the exact details of when the last update took place. I know . . . cool, eh?
- New Theme: A new theme has been added. But, thanks to complicated cookie/PHP stuff, the special feature (the feature I was so proud of) doesn’t work. :( Maybe some day - one day - I’ll resolve this and finally be able to release it. :\ Bear with me. Also, scroll down and you’ll see that I’ve added a table to this page summarising the themes and what works/doesn’t work where. Needs tidying up a little, but it’s there!
- A Site Survey has been added. If you read here regularly, I expect you to complete it! Well go on then - NOW!
- Site Map: I’ve added a Site Map to help you navigate freely around these parts . . .
- Reviews: I’ve received two more reviews in the last week or so. I’ve yet to add my comments to them yet (but will to all three this week) but the links are there for now.
- The contact form is now also XHTML 1.1 Valid. Yay! This means that the entire site is 1.1 compliant - or at least it should be!
See? Told you I’d done a bunch of stuff.
In other news, my user online doesn’t seem to be working (at least I don’t think it is - it seems to perpetually show ‘1 user online’ when I’ve been having close to 200 hits a day here, so that’s kinda odd). And also . . . is anyone having problem navigating? I received feedback from someone who said that she had to treble-click links to make them work . . . I’ve checked and this isn’t happening to me, but is anyone else having this problem? If so, I’d really appreciate it if you let me know.

I haven’t had any issue navigating, I filled out your survey and just as an FYI in I.E. this post is across the entire page and does not stay in the main column I’ve never seen this on any of your other posts.
Love all of the upgrades and additions!

Bollocks! Thanks for letting me know, Char - all fixed now. Some screwy code in my lists! :P
Thanks for the survey - have added you to registered users now. Not that’s much to see right now other than some random complaints and a pic of me in Oct sometime or something . . . ! :P

You’re adding a ton of stuff, and I’m removing a ton from mine! ;-)

I filled your survey. Nice questions. Anyways, do you consider putting the tag <br clear=”all”> after each comment? If people don’t comment enough, the next one is moved beside the gravatar.
I’m going to put a weight loss on my blog too. I’ve been searching for that… Good luck in losing weight…

Wow, those are a lot of changes. Seems like you covered up everything and more that many others have been trying for the past few weeks during the holidays.
The Q&A area looks slick, nice.
