The Day With the WordPress Theme

Am just on my way out for a little while, but before I do, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter (or holidays, if you don’t celebrate!) and tentatively unveil my latest little project . . . Geek Goddess Themes - my first stab at releasing publically available WordPress themes. (Well, theme singularly at the moment. No time to do any more as of yet!)
I’ve had several requests over the years to release something, but I never seemed to have the time. Having six weeks off work sometimes helps with that. :P It’s obviously very ‘me’, but I hope is just anonymous enough to appeal to other people. Anyway, the site’s still somewhat under-construction (not that there’s much site there anyway - it’s just a WP blog), but I like to think that the theme “Spin Me” is operational. If anyone fancies it, PLEASE download it - and if you don’t, download it anyway and try and break it please. Thanks!
What do you think? Is it something you’d consider using? Oh, and if you’re using Safari or IE7, does it look okay? Your comments and suggestions are always most welcome. :)

There’s alignment issues with the sidebar lists in IE7 (tested res: 1024)
Here’s a screencap

I’ve been holding off installing IE7 (did so on my last HDD and found it more useful to keep IE6) so couldn’t check it.
Thanks. :) Will look into this . . . and then wonder how I get alignment working in IE6, 7, FF and Opera simultaneously!

I know what you mean, I’ve got IE6 on my machine and only installed IE7 over on K’s (for testing purposes), so I have to switch machines to test after every tiny change. :)[Translation: the entire process is a pain in the arse]

Hey, Claire - found this - http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE . Works like a charm (to date, anyways . . . )
Thanks, both. Can’t find a fix for all three browsers, but am working on it . . .

Right, fixed now - doesn’t validate while I sort it the eff out, but it works on IE 6, 7, FireFox and Opera.
Thanks!

Hi Vixx, happy Easter! ^_^
That is a great theme! I think my favorite thing about it is the sidebar. I’ve never seen it designed that way before, popping out above the “normal” content box! It’s very unique and cool! :D
I’m going to bookmark your theme site, I hope you don’t mind. ^_^

Oooh, fancy. I like the way you’ve continued the circle background at the base as well, really pulls it together.

Of course I don’t mind, Melissa! Thanks. :)
Thank you, guys - I’m so glad people seem to like it. But don’t be afraid to let me know about errors and dislikes, too. :P

Very, very nice. Like the look of the sidebar - it makes a change from all those other designs out there. Good work!

This is lovely :) Maybe I’ll use it in future when I get a design block. I love the design concept, simple but sweet :)

I do that sidebar thing quite a lot - once I get something I like, it’s hard for me to shake it off. :P You’ll see loads in my portfolio!

p.s. Shar - haven’t forgotten about yours, lovely! ;)

Spin Me looks absolutely fabulous! I would definetly use a theme like that if I had WP. It’s very pretty.

No alignment issues as I can see. Using Mozilla Firefox here on a Windows XP computer. (:
Colour scheme and structure on the whole looks good too. :P I like the simplicity of it all, and I am marvelling at how elegant it looks at the same time. (Contradictory, I know. ;)).
And yes, it is something I will consider using.

It looks awesome. I love it. Just don’t ever put SPONSOR links on your templates. I’ll have to beat you with a wet noodle. hehehe

Awesome design I would say! The colors are nice too. I think this will be the first standard theme on one of my upcoming blogs, since if I run into any issues, I know where to run and who to spam….=)
