A spider just landed on my arm - MY FUCKING ARM. The motherfucker must’ve come down from the ceiling and figured my shoulder to be a comfy place to land. It was a huge fucker, the type that haunts my dreams and probably eats small children when the lights go out.
I will now have to shower with a wire brush and bleach and scrub until I hit bone.
It was on my arm. A spider. ON MY FUCKING ARM.
And now I can’t go to sleep. EVER AGAIN.

Don’t EVER again leave it until the week before school starts to go ’school shoe’ shopping.
It was unadultered carnage - sitting in Clarks made the first twenty minutes of Saving Private Ryan look like a fucking tea party. There were women there who’d step over numerous corpses of children (presumably shoeless) in order to get served.
When my number finally came up on the “Next Serving” screen and I hollered “Me! It’s ME!”, a neighbouring mother glared at me and my life flashed before my eyes. I wondered how M would take it, receiving the phone call that would inform him that his wife had been beaten to death with a black patent leather sandal.

Say someone was craptacularly bad at photography but really wanted to get a bit better and stop using their equally craptastic point ‘n’ shoot, what kind of starter/modestly priced/easy-to-use camera and/or kit would you recommend for them starting out?

The Bit About Missing Him (7)
I saw my Dad on Thursday. As I was on my way to drop S off at my in-laws, racing along ‘cos I was late for work, he was driving in the other direction, presumably coming back from taking the dog out.
That’s the first time I’ve seen him in little over a year - through the spotted windshield from the other side of the street, no closer to him than any other stranger in any other car.

Those of you who use WordPress and have substanial content will know that whilst it’s undoubtedly one of the most amazing and flexible open source programs out there, the bigger your site, the more plugins you use and the more horrendous updating and keeping everything secure really is.
Introducing the Best. Plugin. Ever. Worked like a charm right out of the box.
