Irv - Ian’s successor - has arrived.
Am too scared to take it out of the box.

YAAY for Irv! Ian is dead… bless his circuits, the poor thing.
I’m so glad they gave you a replacement!
Just do the following every day:
1 - Start it up
2 - Always say that he is beautiful, intelligent and sexy
3 - Pet him, whenever necessary
4 - Clean it whenever you see dust on the screen.
5 - Say “I love you very much, you sexy piece of machinery” every now and then.
Irv will never crash and will never die.

Just remember, these things have a one-year warranty! And usually they’re quite good, but you know, they’re still computers and unfortunately, once in a while, somebody’s going to get one that craps out, and it sucks big time. *crossing my fingers that Irv works out for you*
(P.S. I love that you name your computers. I named my MacBook - that I’m typing on - Persephone.)

Well, he is so far! *touches wood*
We name everything in this house. :p S was Dave until he was born, for we find that generic grown-up names are far more amusing than jellybean and peanut and the other names given to pre-borns! Our cars are Boris and Percy - so I think that Persephone is definitely of a different class!
