The Bit With The Mood (8)
I AM IN A VERY, VERY, VERY BAD MOOD.
That is all.

The Day With the Confession (9)
This afternoon S had a playdate with his BFF from school. He came over with his mother, D, whom I love deeply and spent the afternoon polishing off two bottles of Pino Grigio with whilst talking about everything and anything. She’s so no good at taking her booze; possibly a little under the influence, she just told me about how she almost (but not quite) cheated on her husband pre-child but post-marriage.
Even half cut myself, I suspect that she may regret that confession tomorrow morning.
I myself have never cheated on my husband, despite being close enough to try. But I’m a staunch believer in the phrase never say never!

The Update With Chick Lit Vixx (2)
Just a quick note to say that I’ve moved my writing journal from WordPress.com to it’s own domain. (Yes, I know this isn’t strictly a FA.com update but they’re ALL MY SITES so bite me :P). I’d been meaning to do it for ages but . . . meh. It’s quite nice having a remotely hosted journal where I don’t have to worry about upgrading or backing-up.
No/little customisation, though. And the pre-mades aren’t pretty. Hence relocating to my own web space with a new (and a bit of a departure for me) layout. Please visit vikki-blake.com and let me know what you think!
(Note: no, Blake isn’t my actual surname, so don’t bother Googling me. Any Vikki Blake you locate will be purely coincidental and scared if you contact her about a website she’s never heard of.)

The Day With The Lie (7)
S was awoken by a nightmare last night. He doesn’t have them very often. Apparently a snake with “very very very very very very SHARP TEEF” was chasing him. I snuggled down next to him and told him that, actually, snakes were great. He was kind of doubtful, so I explained that EVERYTHING that began with a ’sss’ sound, including snakes, was awesome; snow, Santa, sweeties, Spiderman, SpongeBob and - hey! - S himself, too! That did the trick. With the instruction to dream about meeting Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in Hundred Acre Wood, he rolled over with a smile on his face and drifted right on back to sleep.
Here’s hoping he never discovers smack.

The Day Dreamhost Fucked Up (11)
Got five minutes to kill? Check out the comments about the Dreamhost Billing Error.
Regardless of your thoughts on the matter (I’m a happy DH customer and I don’t set auto-renew, so I escaped the fallout) these comments are fucking priceless. Really. I think my favourite quotes to date include “To all you losers leaving Dreamhost: thanks for clearing up the bandwidth for the rest of us that aren’t raging assholes”, “After reading many of the 800 comments I gotta say: you kids really need to get out more often”, “Shut the hell up” and - for the win - “you smug fucks”.
Awesome.
Edit: http://www.dreamhostclassaction.org/ Christ. That was quick. They have a “team” already.
Wonder if the site’s hosted at DH? Snigger.
