The Bit About The SHOUTING
I cannot believe that this is happening in my country and in 2008. She was UNCONSCIOUS. The boys were LAUGHING. They RECORDED the assault and PUT IT ON THE FUCKING INTERNET. Her children were FORCED TO WATCH. I know I’m all-cap-shouting but that’s because I REALLY AM SHOUTING. It’s horrific. I want it to be fucking joke.
And just to add to it? Read this little jem.
If you’re in the UK take action. Now. Please.

Those articles are maddeningly vague =\ The first one is a news story which is probably why it’s vague. I was completely baffled reading it because it just stated that the woman was being charged but not the teenagers but didn’t say one word to why. Prior to reading the second article (or rant, rather) I honestly thought she was being charged with corrupting a minor even though she was raped in some weird bureaucratic dumbassery. I realize it’s more complicated than that.
The second one claims that it’s been proven that it was staged but does not produce the evidence so the readers can verify for themselves.
I don’t understand why the teens aren’t being charged or at least held since it seems like rape is a very strong possibility here =\ I’m vaguely reminded of something that happened in the US a year or so ago about a woman who was raped by a group of teens who recorded it. They didn’t publicly post the video, but I know it was found -somehow-. Then there was a huge thing about it because the guy was the son of someone important and then there was question of if it was actually consensual. All that =\
The second link is horribly bias and the source doesn’t seem at all credible to me. Particularly because their thesis seems to be that there is no male rape? =\ That’s just as radical as the “all male initiated sex is rape” argument I read the other day. I understand that false rape claims are a problem but actual rape happens far more often. Also, it’s never mentioned who uploaded the video. The only reason I could see anyone uploading such a horrible, Content Violating video is to either brag about it or humiliate the parties involved and the only person who stands to be humiliated is the woman. Were this a sting video, used to catch a woman corrupting minors, it wouldn’t be uploaded but turned into the police for evidence. I can see no reason why the woman would record and then upload it, it would’ve either been recorded for posterity (since criminals send to like to record their crimes) and thus not uploaded for fear of getting caught or recorded specifically to stage an event in which case it still would’ve been better to turn into the police =\ I can’t say either way who did it but I personally think that, with the evidence I’ve read, it’s more likely the teens.
This is one line that makes me strongly doubt the credibility of the second link:

That doesn’t make any sense. DNA evidence is found where ever DNA is deposited. Hair, blood, saliva, semen, etc… have DNA. But all it does it place the person somewhere or in some cases prove that intercourse has taken place (in a rape charge). But that’s it. It can in NO WAY prove fault or innocence beyond helped to figure out if anything happened. But in a case like this, where we KNOW intercourse has taken place and the subject of debate is who committed the rape (teens on the women, women on the teens). Anyone with half a brain knows there’s no way DNA can prove it either way.
Same argument with electronic equipment. Rape is one of the hardest allegations to prove/dismiss because in many cases it relies exclusively on hearsay and testimony. In some cases it can be helped if DNA is, say, found in the woman and the man claims to have never known her or wounds caused by a violent rape. But, like I said, when it’s consensual vs. rape no physical evidence can help.
The fact that the article not only ignores this fact but idiotically claims the contrary discredits it in my eyes (the radical anti-feminism doesn’t help, though). Adverse opinions I can deal with but if they can’t come up with logical facts I get irritated =\
I’m rambling. Geez, there’s a lot of rape issues coming up on the net a lot…a lot of rape apologists popping up too. Although maybe I’m just noticing it now. BAH.

This looks like yet another example of our shambolic legal system protecting the criminal rather than the victim. It’s a fecking joke.
I would write to my MP but I think he’s too busy fiddling his expenses at the moment…

I refrained from commenting earlier because I was a bit confused but ArtemisPanthar’s comment helps clear it up. I’d thought the same thing about the DNA bit, too. This is horrible.
