Don't be too depressed. You can always have video conferences with your friend. You can even visit her during your breaks.

It's really not that far and I'm sure she'll always be on the other end of the phone for you when you need her. If not then there's always IM and email :)

Besides, think of the great holidays you can have out there when you go to visit her!

Most people who move away from the UK, move back again - always something to bear in mind.

Wow, wish I had some worldly wise words to give, but my mind is failing!

But then again, perhaps that has something to do with the fact that I've never had someone move away from me. I'm always the one to move!

So from what I have got experience from, I'm sure your friend will be hurting as much, or even more so, than you might be. It's always difficult to leave the ones you love! Even when you are moving due to your own personal choice and decision, it still hurts!

Just try to keep in contact as best you can, and like everyone else has said already, traveling between England and France really isn't très difficile. ;-)

Who knows, this might even bring you closer! (Due to having to put more conscious effort into staying in touch).

I hate when bf's move. Mine did two years ago, she was so damn cool and made me feel normal too. Traveling to France can be good.
