The Bit About Not Being Dead
I’m not dead.
It just appears that way as I’m poorly bad and recuperating on the couch. This would be mind-numbing were it not for the fact that my birthday presents arrived early and I’ve subsequently lost my life to Rock Band.
Not only am I a guitar legend, I also now rock the mic - rock the mic RIGHT.

Good to hear you’re not dead.
Hope you feel better soon - my sister and her fella returned home yesterday with a couple of stinkers for colds (which is probably not the souvenir they were hoping for after a fortnight in the Caribbean, but I can’t say that I feel *too* sorry for them! MWAHAHAHA!)

It’s my bits again. :( I’m having my first visit from Aunt Flo in nine weeks (there’s no reason for the delay other than coming off of my hormone treatment) and have been in agony. Changing plugs every two hours and chucking back painkillers like smarties. Awesome.
Hope your back’s better?

Ooo poor you! Hugs.
I see you went for the 360 and not the Wii. Good choice (though either console would have rocked!).
Do they have Ant & Dec on Rock Band? ;) Hehehee.

Talking of Smarties… have you ever had the small round Nurofen tablets? They taste sugar coated and are similar size and shape to Smarties… I can see how easy it is for people to get addicted to painkillers!
Anyway, glad you’re not dead. Seriously, that’d suck. Still can’t convince me to buy Guitar Hero though :p

Ahh, you got a 360? We need to play against each other sometime on Xbox Live!
Comment by Vixx — 12 June, 2008 @ 10:43 am
Actually . . . we’re getting both. *blush* I know - so greedy! But my folks and brothers gave me enough cash for the XBox console, and M has given me the instruments for my main present, too. :)
We plan to buy the Wii when my back-pay (from Aug 07) finally comes through . . . yay!!
Teesee: You are ON! I got my 12 month membership in the post this morning!
My prescription meds are like horse bullets. Ugh.

You poor sod - the saga never ends, does it? Hope you start to feel better over the next few days - can’t have you out of action for your impending birthday, can we? ;)
Muchly thank you, darlin :)

Those are wonderful birthday presents! We have Rock Band for our PS3, and it is quite addictive! Happy (early?) Birthday. :)
And thank you for your comments on my last post. I appreciate them. It is reassuring to hear from someone who is familiar with autistic children and their success with mainstream schools. Thank you again. We will be doing all that we can for him.

Happy (early?) birthday! :D I can’t remember what name I used to comment on your blog (a long long time ago) but I just found out you’re a potential Wordcamp UK attendee! (sorry this is off topic!) For some really stupid and unknown reason, I had always assumed you were based in the US or something crazy like that. My bad! Wordcamp UK will be far richer with you there! :) Hope you’ll be doing a speech~

And yes, I’ve just realised that now I sound like a stalker. Apologies.

Claire: Worse things happen elsewhere, yadda yadda. It’ll pass, like it always does. And some little blue presents arrived today - squee!! THANK YOU! *squish*
Jenn: You’re welcome. I’m not an autism expert, but I’m pretty knowledgeable, particularly about autism in education. Holler if you have any questions. :)
Mosey: Hello, stranger! Welcome back. :) No apologies needed - nice to know someone will be looking for me when I’m there all on my tod! And no - am definitely British! ;)

Not the bits again :( Poor you. I prescribe a hot water bottle, a comfy chair and lots and lots of chocolate.
I’m so tempted to get Rock Band. My bruv gave me Guitar Hero 2 for my birthday and now I’m seriously considering throwing a sickie from work this weekend just so that I can keep on playing ;)

Remind me, are you on Wii or XBox? Cos if it’s the latter - let’s FORM A BAND, BABY!
Just finished my solo world tour on medium, all five stars - I think Rock Band is easier than GH. lol

I’m on Playstation 2. I’m old skool, haha.

Tis the 18th, Inga. :)
Old skool rocks, too, Sharon - I was all about the Old Skool before my Xbox arrived. :)

I just got my husband the PS2 and have been glued to Guitar Hero and Grand Theft Auto since then. I can’t wait to get Rock Band though. Hubby’s really looking forward to being the fantastic drummer he believes himself to be. ;)
Yay on the early birthday prezzies!
Hope you’re feeling better soon.
