So happy that you heart the Moleskine - I argued with myself about getting it; I know that most people who are “into” writing are very particular about their preferred tools. (For example, draft in in cheap, scribbly biro, but journal exclusively in my favourite fountain pen.) I did wonder whether I might be inadvertently violating some unknown notebook etiquette!
But then I thought: ‘Ah, sod it - everyone loves a Moleskine’ ;)

I actually do carry a notebook around with me and have done so for . . . oooh, a year or so now? It was an A4 monstrosity that was awesome but way too big. I do all of my notes/wonderings/ideas in longhand - nothing works when I tried to keep an electronic notebook - but the book itself I can only spew out via a keyboard.
In Amsterdam I bought a gorgeous little notebook - A5 size - from the Van Gogh museum, but had only used it once before your gift arrived. Therefore, swapping was not a problem . . . specially since yours was smaller, sexier and altogether much scrummier!
Thanks again. *hug*

I am a Moleskine whore! Gawd I love them I have every freaking size, aren’t they the best! They also come in a soft cover now, however I only found the plain notebook in it.
The orchids are gorgeous.

Happy belated birthday wishes love. I’m sorry I’m so late this year, as you know I’ve been on holiday and didn’t have any net access for two whole weeks. I was sending you good thoughts from over the Atlantic on June 18th, I hope they got to you. I’m glad you seem to had a good birthday and got lots of goodies. :)

Blah, I’ve been MIA for a little bit, but happy belated birthday wishes are coming your way, NOW!
I’m envious of your new book collection; Paul won’t even allow me in a bookshop because I have so many. Time for a clear out soon.
Your journal/notebook/Moleskine looks very swish, am very jealous.

Is it stupid if I say I like your handwriting? Yeah? OK, I won’t say it… oh crap, I already did and I’m too lazy to hold the backspace key.
Mines better! HA! I’m only kiddin’! (Sort of). No honestly, all good writers have bee-eee-aye-yootefal handwriting. (Fingers crossed that you’ve seen Bruce Almighty). Glad to see you have too!
Let me know how totally rocking Halo 3 is? Pretty pwwease? ;-)
I would say is there anything from a possible Amazon wishlist you’d love to receive, but I won’t because, well, that’s just weird. (Although I would actually get you something, if only for penance towards my dreadful email!).

I haven’t played H3 yet - isn’t that shocking?! I think I’m scared of being suckered in; it’s like, the longer I leave it, the longer I’ll have my life . . .
It’s not weird to ask about an Amazon Wishlist! Presents are NEVER weird! But feeling obliged to get me something IS weird - so don’t feel that way!
And I don’t believe you re: handwriting. Mine’s sooo better. Fo’ real.

p.s. I have a draft reply to your first email all done; it’s just not something I wanna rush, so sorry it’s taken two days. Eep. :(

p.s. Teesee: Have the same issue. :P I regularly clear out my shelves. When I worked in a college my office was based within the library (I know - irony!) so I used to take in a pile of books and sell ‘em for £1 . . . then 50p . . . then 10p etc. So as well as clearing shelves, I used to have a few quid drinking money, too!

Hokey poke, but honestly when you do play Halo 3 you MUST say how incredibly amazing it is! Provided you can of course rip yourself away from it! Heehee!
Totally - who says no to presents?! Amazon wishlists are so totally cool - but I am not going to get you a PS3 or a Wii me lady! At least not until I can get myself a 360, let’s put it that way!
Hands down, your handwriting is awwshum… but mine is uberly ‘unique’. Or something. *laughs*
I see your email tinkering away to be read so I’ll go and jump to it! (Only just got back from work you see).
