The Day With the First Awesome Fail of my Life

I got a D! Woohoo!

I’ve never had anything less than a C in my life before, but considering I taught myself Hiragana and Katakana a week before my exam, I actually think that pretty much rocks.

I’m going to ignore the fact that the exams broke the mould this year and were incredibly hard - enough that even the scary monosyllabic teenagers struggled - and that the overall grade threshold very probably slipped this year. Ssssh. Let’s not think of that.

   Congrats on your D! I still treasure the E I got in GCSE Spanish all those years ago :D

   Congratulations on your D - I got one of those for GCSE Maths… I felt pretty wicked about it at the time though as it came printed on the same piece of paper that told me I’d got an A for Art. LOL

   When I took my GCSEs (all those many moons ago - JESUS I feel old), E was considered the National average, is this still the case?

   Thank you all!

   Just under 66% of marks given were A*-C, so I obviously fall into the 44% who were not. Heh. But it’s all good! It’s always been just for fun and wtf, I already have two degrees!! :P

   Teesee - um, no idea. Have an insatiable appetite for learning (have done forensic psych in the past, sign language, british braille, HTML etc.) and this was my latest interest. Not sure if I CAN do anything more with a D, but we’ll see what September brings!
