The Day Dreamhost Was (Kinda) Free

If you want to host a PHPBB forum, perhaps a photography site, or even a WordPress powered blog of your own but are too tight skint to fork out for a Dreamhost hosting plan yourself, Dreamhost are offering free application hosting. It may not stay free though, so if you fancy it and you’re not already a DH customer, I’d suggest you sign up before the gravy train has left the station. Might be a nice way to try before you buy.
I find it a tad weird considering there’s so many cheap host plans out there but ho hum, I’m not stupid enough to kick a good thing in the balls.
Incidentally, I neither earn nor gain anything from making this post and there’s no referral codes in my links. I just wanted to spread the DH love. :)

Sounds like a good option for tight wads or people who are being sorely hurt during the recent recession.
i had bad experiences with dh when i was a customer but from what i hear these days from friends who are using their services they’ve shaped up quite nicely through the years.

I never had an issue with their servers or anything but when I was a member they had billing issues out of their wazoo (but that was clear back in 2003) I’d pay my bill and they’d tell me i owed them more and it just keep on and on until i had to say enough is enough and walk away. But i’m sure that’s been fixed by now so this is a great deal for people who need some space and have no cash to spare.
