The Day I Went to Coventry
Added at 7:32am and filed under Geek Speak, Offline, Oh Mama, awesome, family, tv
I write this in a cafe outside the Transport Museum in Coventry. Yes, that’s kind of odd. It’d probably make more sense if I told you that it is also the location of a new Doctor Who exhibition. Ah ha. A bulb just burst above your head. NOW you know why I’m in Coventry.
It was M’s suggestion. S’s had a crappy Easter break. And since today is the last day of his holidays and M is on his shift break, he suggested that we take him somewhere special. I needed convincing; sore parts aside, the exhibitions are stupidly expensive for what they are, Cov’s a two and a bit hour from here, PLUS S broke my DS on the weekend. Yeah. It’s hard to treat your kid when they’ve done that.
We’ve had fun, though. And it’s nice to do things as a family. It sounds sad, but I don’t think I can enjoy myself more than when we go out altogether – and I certainly couldn’t laugh more. Even the car journey’s fun when little S is with me!

I’m starting to learn that Doctor Who posts are DEATH on here. I can almost here the crickets and see dustbunnies …
But yes, treat ourselves we did. Can’t say Coventry was the nicest place in the world (I saw the shop that sells the I HEART COV t-shirt that that silly bint wore on last year’s Big Brother) but it was pleasant enough. Um, as long as it’s a very VERY short trip …
I <3 you for commenting, BTW.
