THE COUGH. IT CAME BACK.
I know, right? I am so over this now. TL;DR, after telling the doctor that the cough/wheezing has moved to my throat (wtf), he now thinks it may be acid reflux related. And even though I already take medication for that, he wants me to take more, just in case that’s the cause. LOL, right?
I’m off the steroids now, though. So yay for that.
My week was pretty frantic; more writing deadlines to juggle with a busy schedule day-job wise. Writing has been stressful (read: irritating), but I can’t talk about what’s irritating me on a public post, so let’s gloss over it. Wednesday I went to a leaving party and saw some colleagues who no longer work there, and that was lovely. Thursday I went out for dinner with M and K and others to celebrate M’s birthday, and that was also lovely, if a bit weird (the restaurant only had four menus for all patrons; there were no hot drinks for after the meal; they didn’t have sparkling water and half of the listed meals weren’t available. GREAT).
Less great things: my boy had a hard week courtesy of school – well, school “friends”. Again, I can’t talk about it publicly as this is the internet dude, but suffice to say, I had to bring my A-game to mummying this week. The outcome is fine, and I’m reminded, for the twentieth gazillion time, that my kid is amazing; kind and funny and empathic and mature and brilliant and I’m so proud and honoured to be his mother. <3
Hmm, what else? I’ve been binge-watching Forensic Files on Netflix because why not, I love true crime stuff, and particularly the science behind forensics. We may have some good news coming with M’s job. My Age of Money is now 28 days old in YNAB. It’s been a month and I’m still Instagramming once a day and am still blogging, too. MARVELS OF MARVELS, eh?
